* Preparation before taking an MRI Scan
1. Inform your doctor if you have any metal implants or medical equipment, such as a pacemaker or cochlear implant. The MRI's magnetic field may impact certain gadgets.
2. Avoid bringing metal items: Watches, jewelry, and clothes with metal zippers will all be affected by the MRI's powerful magnetic field.
3. Change your clothes: Change into a medical gown and remove your belt and any metal accessories.
4. Stay relaxed and comfortable: The MRI machine makes loud noises, but you'll be given noise-cancelling headphones and music to listen to during the scan.
5. If a contrast agent injection is necessary, do not overeat or use stimulants before to the scan. Make sure you follow your doctor's directions.
** Preparation before taking an MRI Scan
1. History of allergies: If you have a history of allergies, please contact your doctor. This chemical may be used to improve picture clarity during CT scans.
2. Fasting: In certain cases, you may need to fast for 2-4 hours prior to the scan, particularly if contrast dye is required.
3. Drink water: After contrast-enhanced CT scans, you may be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help flush out the contrast dye from your body.
4. Change clothes and remove any metal items: You will be required to change into a clinic gown same as taking MRI scan. In some situations, metal items may need to be removed to avoid artifacts during the scanning process.
